HAND SCANS CRIMINAL BACKGROUNDS CHECKS REQUIRED FOR ALL MEMBERS!
Chesterfield County has determined that hand scans and criminal background checks are required for ALL rescue squad volunteers 18 years of age or older. THIS INCLUDES ALL CLASSES OF RESCUE SQUAD MEMBERSHIP (Auxiliary, Junior 18 y.o. and up, Administrative, Life) AND APPLIES TO THOSE RIDING AND/OR PERFORMING ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES! If you come on our property, you MUST have a hand scan/criminal background check on file.
There are many who joined the squad and auxiliary before this was a requirement. (In recent years, obtaining the hand scan is a required element of the application process for those 18 years and older.)
So active Life Members, active Auxiliary members, Administrative and Juniors 18 y.o. and up: If you have never gone to the police department to get a hand scan, YOU MUST GO AND GET ONE NOW! If you fail to get this done, your membership could be in jeopardy or in the case of a life member, access to squad property prohibited.

Wednesday 9/28/11 5 pm – 7 pm Chesterfield Towne Center
Saturday 10/8/11 9 am – Noon Police Headquarters
Wednesday 10/12/11 5 pm – 7 pm Chesterfield Towne Center
Saturday 10/22/11 9 am – Noon Police Headquarters
Wednesday 10/26/11 5 pm – 7 pm Chesterfield Towne Center

It’s possible the police department will change the dates and times so you may want to call ahead (804) 748-1251. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE ONE OF THESE SESSIONS OR TO CONTACT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO MAKE SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS FOR YOU!
